Galaxy A71 5G gets the July 2021 security update

Looks like Samsung is on a roll today. After releasing the August 2021 security update to the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S10 Lite, the South Korean firm has released the July 2021 update to the Galaxy A71 5G. The new update is rolling out now in Taiwan with firmware version A716BXXU5CUG7.

The new update for the Galaxy A71 5G brings the July 2021 security patch with fixes for more than 20 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes, performance improvements, and device stability improvements. The update could roll out to other markets worldwide over the next few weeks.

If you are a Galaxy A71 5G user in Taiwan, the update might soon reach your smartphone. If it doesn’t, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install on your device. You can also flash the new firmware manually after downloading it from our firmware database.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A71 5G in mid-2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update earlier this year. The Galaxy A71 5G is currently on Samsung’s quarterly security update schedule.
