Galaxy A41 gets August 2022 security update in India

Samsung has finally released the August 2022 security update to the Galaxy F41. Although the South Korean firm has been a little late in rolling out the new update, at least the update is here. Most mid-range phones from other Android OEMs don’t even get regular security updates.

The new software update for the Galaxy F41 comes with firmware version F415FXXU2CVH1. It is rolling out in India, and we expect it to be released in Brazil and Panama within the next few days. The August 2022 security patch fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities, including the ones that exposed the MAC address via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also fixes vulnerabilities related to Samsung Knox and improper access control.

If you are a Galaxy F41 user in India, you can download and install the new software update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy F41 in mid-2020 with Android 10 onboard. The mid-range phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in mid-2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update a few months ago. It might not get the Android 13 update.
