Galaxy A33 5G revealed in leaked renders, headphone jack missing

You might think that it’s only Samsung’s flagship phones that miss out on a headphone jack, but that’s not the case. Samsung has launched a couple of mid-range phones without a headphone jack, as well, and it seems Samsung is adding another one to the list: the Galaxy A33 5G.

We’ve known for a few weeks that the Galaxy A33 is in development, and today, the folks over at 91Mobiles have published renders of the new phone that offer us a 360-degree look at its design. And it seems this device will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, even though its reported thickness is 9.7mm. That’s more than enough space for a headphone jack, which suggests that Samsung is removing the feature just because it can and because it wants to push more and more customers towards its wireless earbuds.

The renders reveal that the Galaxy A33 5G will look quite similar to the Galaxy A52 at the back, complete with a matte finish. Oddly enough, although 91Mobiles says the renders show the black and white versions of the phone, the white seems more like violet to us. Speaking of colors, the Galaxy A33 is also expected to come in orange and light blue, with the latter also an option on this year’s Galaxy A32 and A32 5G.

It’s unclear when Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy A33 5G, but it could be early 2022 considering the Galaxy A32 came out in February this year. We’ll let you know when we learn more about the device, so stay tuned!
