Galaxy A24 lands in another market, now with a 15W charger in tow

Samsung rather quietly released the Galaxy A24 late last month. The phone debuted in Vietnam, and now, Samsung is bringing the Galaxy A24 to another market: Indonesia.

The official announcement preceding the Galaxy A24 in Indonesia clarifies that the phone is available in three color options, one of which is that gradient Silver color that resembles the old Aura Glow. The other two colors are Light Green and Black.

Interestingly, the Galaxy A24 in Indonesia appears to ship with a 15W travel adapter for a total of IDR 3,499,000 ($237); however, the official announcement doesn’t make it very clear if the wall charger is included in the box or if this is an optional bundle. Either way, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 25W fast charging, so there’s room for a wall charger upgrade.

Also in the announcement are pricing and availability details. Pre-orders are open now until May 14, and early buyers get “attractive offers” worth IDR 218,000 ($14), including a discount of IDR 100,000 ($7) and free YouTube Premium for two months.

A cheap Galaxy phone with OIS, VDIS, and online banking capabilities

The Galaxy A24 sounds surprisingly decent for its sub-$250 price, given that it has a 90Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED 6.5-inch display that can reach 1,000 nits of brightness and boasts Eye Care for reduced blue light emissions.

Furthermore, the Galaxy A24 has a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization and Video Digital Image Stabilization, with Samsung claiming the phone can deliver blur-free images and videos. The device also has a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro lens, along with a 13MP selfie camera.

The phone is powered by a Helio G99 chipset. And for less than $250, Galaxy A24 buyers in Indonesia get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure login and online banking applications.
