Galaxy A22 4G has a MediaTek processor, quad-camera setup

Samsung could soon launch two Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A22 and the Galaxy A22 5G. Earlier today, we had published the images and complete specifications of the Galaxy A22 5G. Now, the pictures and specifications of the LTE variant of the Galaxy A22 have been leaked ahead of the launch.

The Galaxy A22 features a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display with Full HD+ resolution. While the 5G version of the smartphone features a 90Hz display, the refresh rate of the 4G version isn’t known yet. The upcoming smartphone runs Android 11 out of the box (most probably with One UI 3.1). It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

At the rear, the phone features a quad-camera setup, featuring a 48MP wide-angle camera with autofocus, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A22 can record 4K 30fps videos using the rear-facing camera. At the front, it sports an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy A22 features 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It features Dolby Atmos audio, Samsung Knox, and Samsung Pay. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and features 15W fast charging, similar to the Galaxy A22 5G. It will be available in at least three colors: black, purple, and white.
