Galaxy A21 gets the March 2022 security update in the US

The Galaxy A21 is getting its first software update in three months. Sadly, it isn’t getting the Android 12-based One UI 4 update just yet. The carrier-locked model of the mid-range smartphone is only getting a new security update, which is still better than getting nothing.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy A21 comes with firmware version A215USQS7BVC2. It brings the March 2022 security patch that fixes more than 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update might also include bug fixes, performance improvements, and better device stability.

If you are a Galaxy A21 user in the US, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A21 in the US in Q2 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update five months ago. It will get the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update within the next few months.
