Galaxy A02s is the latest Samsung phone to get the July 2021 security update

After releasing the latest security update to its high-end and mid-range smartphones a few days ago, Samsung has released it to the Galaxy A02s. The entry-level smartphone has now started a new update with the July 2021 security patch in Brazil, but it could expand to other markets worldwide in a few weeks.

Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A02s in Brazil on Claro, TIM, and Vivo networks. It comes with firmware version A025MUBU2BUF5 and fixes some 20 vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security. It also aims to fix the Android Auto bug that some Galaxy users were complaining about.

If you are a Galaxy A02s user in Brazil, you could soon get notified about the latest software update for your smartphone. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A02s late last year with Android 10-based One UI 2. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update two months ago with the April 2021 security patch.
