Galaxy A01 gets Android 12, its last Android OS update

While many Galaxy smartphones have already received the Android 13 update, the Galaxy A01 is now getting last year’s Android 12 update. Yes, the entry-level smartphone launched in late 2019 is getting the update one year late compared to most other Samsung smartphones.

The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A01 is rolling out in Uzbekistan with firmware version A015FXXU5CVK5. The update brings One UI Core 4.1 and the September 2022 security patch to the smartphone. The update could arrive in other countries within the next few weeks.

If you are a Galaxy A01 user in Uzbekistan, you can download the Android 12 update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A01 in late 2019 with Android 10-based One UI Core 2.0. The device received the Android 11-based One UI Core 3.0 update in April 2021. Going forward, it will only get security updates once every few months.
