Forza Motorsport 8 already playable, information dropping in 2020

It’s no secret that Turn 10 Studios is working on Forza Motorsport 8. While the game hasn’t received the excellent critical acclaim like the Forza Horizon franchise, particularly Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 4, it’s still played my millions of gamers who want an authentic racing experience. Forza Motorsport 8 will apparently be completely different than its predecessors.

In a livestream summarized by TrueAchievements, Creative Director Chris Esaki said the following.

It’s been this hard road to get to where we are today, and the studio got a first chance at actually playing this new experience all day long and had a great time with it… I’m just going to rattle off a bunch of features, because in reality they don’t really matter in the larger scheme of things. The overall product and where we’re going with it is so vastly different and an amazing experience that these things are just so low-level… but the people out there, I think will be interested in hearing some of those things… These are just a ton of things under the hood here… and I’m missing about 15 other things that are all just under the hood… We actually got to play the new game.

It’ll be interesting to see how it differs from past experiences. While the simulation side is spot on in my opinion, the Forza Motorsport series need a new progression system. Let’s see what Forza Motorsport 8 brings us. It’ll be exciting to see it running on Xbox Series X. Let’s hope that it’s a launch title for the next-generation console.
