Fitbit Versa 4, Sense 2 and Inspire 3 leak shows more color screens are coming

Fitbit appears to be readying upgrades to three of its wearables after the emergence of alleged pictures showing of the Fitbit Versa 4, Sense 2 and the Inspire 3.

Site 91mobiles says it’s managed to get its hands on a host of what do look like authentic renders that seem to firm up previous reports that new Fitbit smartwatches are coming. This is the first we’ve heard about an Inspire upgrade though.

The biggest things to glean from these latest images is that Fitbit does seem to be bringing back a physical button to its smartwatches and will now also add a color display to its cheapest fitness tracker for the first time.

The Sense is Fitbit’s health watch and was launched in 2020. These alleged Sense 2 images show off that new physical button, while the watch face doesn’t offer us any hints of new tracking features. We expect features like ECG and blood oxygen monitoring will once again be supported. The Sense 2 is expected to come in gold, graphite and platinum color looks.

It’s a similar story with the image of the Versa 4, which first arrived in 2018 with the Versa 3 also landing in 2020. The new Versa will apparently come in graphite and rose looks. The presence of a physical button on the side of the case could be the big design talking point given that the renders suggest the overall design won’t drastically differ from the Versa 3. It does seem like we might get a new watch face dedicated to showing off Fitbit’s Daily Readiness Scores.

Last up is the Fitbit Inspire 3, which looks like it’ll feature a chunkier case compared to the nice, sleek one packed onto the Inspire 2 and offer a more unified design overall. The bigger news is that the splash of color on the watch face, which points to Fitbit finally ditching the OLED display technology for a color screen. That would be a welcome upgrade and would mean every wearable in Fitbit’s collection offers a color display. The Inspire 3 is expected to come in black, pink and yellow color options.

These aren’t the first alleged Fitbit Versa 4 and Sense 2 pictures to suggest designs of the new smartwatches will largely stick to the current Versa and Sense looks. Things look set to be more radical for the Inspire in contrast. The Inspire 2 was announced alongside the Versa 3 and Sense in 2020, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising if Fitbit is planning to announce the three wearables together again.

It could be a busy second half of the year for the now Google-owned company as we’re already expecting Google’s Pixel Watch with Fitbit smarts on board and maybe we’ll even see a Fitbit smartwatch powered by Wear OS as well.
