First Galaxy S23 firmware update now available in more markets

Samsung announced the Galaxy S23 series on February 1. The pre-order period is now over, and the company even rolled out the first firmware update for its new flagship series yesterday. The firmware debuted in Europe, but now it is expanding into more regions.

Samsung’s first update for the Galaxy S23 series is now available in Malaysia, Indonesia, and India, on top of Europe. Same as yesterday, the update carries firmware version S91xBXXU1AWBD and includes the February 2023 security patch.

The official changelog also mentions that several Samsung apps may be updated to their latest versions once this new firmware lands on the Galaxy S23, including AR Zone, Samsung Notes, Clock, Galaxy Wearable, SmartThings, and more. Check out the screenshot below for the full list. The update weighs roughly 567MB, so it’s better if you download it over a Wi-Fi network.

You should be able to apply the update in markets where it is available by opening the Settings app on your phone, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” And as usual, if you want to skip the wait and prefer manual updates over a Windows PC, you can grab the official firmware files from our website.
