Find out how mobs are created in the first “How We Make Minecraft” episode

Minecraft is undeniably popular, and is easy for any newcomer to get into, but there’s a ton that goes into creating such a large and longlasting game. “How We Make Minecraft” is a YouTube series designed to teach anyone how the game is made, and all the many pieces that all need to fit together seamlessly. The first episode, “Add a New Mob,” goes over one of the largest parts of Minecraft: the mobs. From the smallest turtle to the largest ghast, there are lots of mobs in Minecraft, and they all need to serve their purpose in the greater ecosystem.

The first episode is wonderfully narrated, and is genuinely quite comedic and fun to watch. If you’re interested in Minecraft, or the process behind making it, the show is definitely worth a watch. The first episode uses Mobbo, a make-believe mob that spits lava when it likes someone, has the voice of a kazoo, and has the ability to replace blocks in a build with…screaming faces. Yeah, there’s still work that needs to be done for this mob.
