Fake script used to keep Xbox Series X secret

At The Game Awards 2019, Microsoft surprised everyone by revealing the Xbox Series X. However, in order to keep this reveal a secret, the company and The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley had to take a lot of precautions. One of them was to practice with a fake script which teased some new announcement about Xbox Game Pass.

This is quite an ingenious solution. I wonder if that fake Xbox Game Pass announcement leaked. Do you think Control coming to Xbox Game Pass was on that fake script and Xbox head Phil Spencer accidentally said that during the livestream?

The Xbox Series X is a black, rectangular tower that blends into the background. It’s minimalist and looks quite sleek. According to Windows Central’s own comparisons, the upcoming console is roughly double that of the Xbox One X. Given the fact that it promises 12 teraflops of power, it’s probably going to need a lot of space for cooling. It’ll be interesting to see it disassembled once Microsoft starts sending them out.

Given the shape of the Xbox Series X, it allows Microsoft to go nuts with limited edition consoles. There are a lot of mockups already floating around on Twitter. Hopefully, the designs will be bold like the Gears 5 Xbox One X which featured the Omen logo encased in snow. Even Spencer commented on the possibilities.

What do you think of the Xbox Series X? Which special editions do you want to see from the console? Let us know.
