Exynos variant of Galaxy S20 FE gets the Android 12 update as well

Last week, Samsung released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Yesterday, the update reached the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S20 FE 4G. Now, the South Korean firm has expanded the update rollout to include the Exynos 990 variant of the Galaxy S20 FE.

The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 stable update is rolling out to the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F) in Russia. It comes with firmware version G780FXXS8DUL6 and includes the December 2021 security patch. More markets could gradually get access to this update over the next couple of weeks.

If you are a Galaxy S20 FE user in Russia, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Galaxy S20 FE Android 12 (One UI 4.0) features

The One UI 4.0 update brings all the major features from Android 12, including improved privacy and security, Material You-inspired Color Palette feature, new widgets, Privacy Dashboard, Extra Dim setting for screen brightness, quick setting toggles for camera and mic access, approximate location option, and privacy indicators while the camera and microphone are being used.

The update also brings more prominent sliders, more widgets, more lockscreen widget options, improved AoD features, more feature-rich Bixby and Bixby Routines, and improved accessibility features. Samsung Health and Device Care have received redesigns as well.
