EVGA will have ‘thousands’ of NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPUs in stock this week

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 quickly sold out last week when it went up for sale. Sales listings only lasted seconds before the cards completely sold out. This led to people reselling the graphics card on eBay for almost $2,000. In reaction to the shortages, many people reached out to Jacob Freeman, the global project management director at EVGA, a third-party GPU maker that sells the RTX 3080. Freeman said on Twitter that EVGA will have “thousands” of RTX 3080 GPUs for sale and that they will be in stock this week.

NVIDIA had limited availability of the card at launch. As a result, the card was sold out everywhere, including third-party makers. NVIDIA apologized for the messy launch of the RTX 3080, but things haven’t cleared up yet.

Freeman added details in a series of tweets that were collected by Tom’s Hardware. The “thousands” figure refers to all retailers, according to Freeman.

While Freeman’s “this week” comment was made on September 19, he clarified in another tweet that he was referring to the week that commenced on September 20.

Freeman hasn’t promised any specific dates, but it’s a good sign for people who want to buy the new GPU that he seems confident in stocks being replenished this week. The RTX 3080 quickly earned a name as one of the best graphics cards available, and demand seems tremendously high.
