Everything you need to know about ‘Jungle Awakens’ for Minecraft Dungeons

With a very positive review from our team, it’s clear that Minecraft Dungeons is something special. Mojang Studios is hard at work on future expansions to make the game even better, and the first two that will probably be included with the Hero Edition have already leaked. The Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter DLC should add a whole lot of stuff to the ARPG title.

Here’s everything we know so far about the Jungle Awakens DLC.

What is the Jungle Awakens DLC for Minecraft Dungeons?

The Jungle Awakens DLC joins the Creeping Winter DLC as one of two expansions probably planned for release later on. Both expansions should feature a decent amount of new content, but the Jungle Awakens DLC revolves around a humid, living landscape, rather than the barren frozen one of its brother. It’s safe to say we should expect new areas, mobs and gear. Everything we know right now is based on leaks, so take this with a grain of salt. We’ll update this article once we have more accurate info.

From the leaks, we can see at the very least new mob variants, like mossy skeletons and zombies, what looks to be a tree golem (that could be a new companion), and an entirely new mob that looks like a Venus fly trap/vine combination. The location also seems to include temples you’d expect to see in an Indiana Jones adventure, with dilapidated ruins and presumably some new traps to avoid. On top of what we can see, we can assume there will be new gear, as well as artifacts and enchantments to compliment the new environments.

When is the Minecraft Dungeons Jungle Awakens DLC release date?

All we have to go on are leaks, so we can’t say exactly when the Jungle Awakens DLC will be available to play. We do believe it’ll probably be one of the two expansions included in the Hero Edition of Minecraft Dungeons, and that it’ll probably come a few weeks or months after the official release of Minecraft Dungeons on May 26, 2020. Whether it’ll come before or after the Creeping Winter DLC, we don’t know. They could even come at the same time! We’ll keep this space updates as we learn more.
