European Galaxy A53 users can start downloading May 2022 security update
The Galaxy A53 started getting the May 2022 security update in the US and Asia last week. Now, Samsung is expanding the availability of the update to European markets. Other markets could get the update within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A53 comes with firmware version A536BXXU2AVD7 in Europe. The May 2022 security patch fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The new update might also include some bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy A53 user in Europe, you can now download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file meant for your Galaxy A53 variant from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A53 earlier this year alongside the Galaxy A33 and the Galaxy A73. The phone has been promised four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
