ESA cancels E3 gaming convention
The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) – the biggest gaming expo of the year is the latest victim of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The report, citing sources familiar with the organizer Entertainment Software Association (ESA), says that the expo, which was supposed to take place in Los Angeles from June 9 to June 11, will be cancelled due to Coronavirus concerns.
ESA hasn’t given an official statement yet. It remains to be seen if the E3 will be cancelled altogether, moved to an online event or moved to a later date.
Over the years several high-profile game developers have skipped the E3, most notably Sony in 2019. But the expo has been held each year since its inception in 1995.
