Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 unveiled with speaker to take calls from the wrist
Emporio Armani has announced the latest in its Connected line of smartwatches, the Smartwatch 3, at IFA 2019.
Armani is another fashion brand that falls under the Fossil Group umbrella. Its latest watch is getting all of the big new features that have already been announced on Fossil’s other fifth generation smartwatches.

That means Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100 chipset will be powering performance and there is a built-in speaker letting you take calls, listen to music and hear Google Assistant read out responses to your queries.
The Smartwatch 3 is also set to benefit from new battery modes to keep you using it for longer than the standard 1 day and has upgraded storage to 8GB. So, that’s more room for your apps and music.
Along with the usual Google Wear OS smartwatch software goodies, Armani has created some bespoke watch faces to maintain that Armani theme, featuring its distinctive eagle logo. Preloaded apps include Spotify and heart health app Cardiogram to help keep a closer eye on your ticker. The new Connected also offers heart rate monitoring, GPS tracking and Google Pay for contactless payments.
If you care about that look (and we’re sure you do), Armani’s watch features a black body with an aluminium casing and a plain black silicone 22mm interchangeable strap. There’s a variety of colored finishes available to choose from with a model featuring a metal mono-band strap also available. It features a 1,28-inch, 328ppi AMOLED screen, a 44mm watch body and measures in at 2mm thick.
Compared to the last version of the Connected line we tested, the new watch certainly boasts a sleeker and more modern look.
The Emporio Armani Connected Smartwatch 3 will be available from October 2019 for $275, putting in the same pricing realms as its predecessor. It also joins new Puma and Diesel smartwatches, which have also been unleashed by Fossil at IFA.
