Elite Dangerous: Odyssey gets new developer diary that discusses planets

If you have ever played Elite Dangerous, there’s a very good chance you’re impatiently waiting the release of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, an ambitious expansion to this popular space-and-beyond game that will allow players to step out of their spaceships for the first time, and explore a vast galaxy of diverse and wonderful planets. And now, you can follow along with the team as they head towards release sometime in 2021, with a new “Road to Odyssey” YouTube series that will discuss various topics of development.

The first video in the series talks about the planets, and the kind of feelings the team wanted to capture when players first step onto these planets, as well as some of the different kinds of planets players can discover in the galaxy. It’s clear that Odyssey is seeking to bring this style of game to an never-before-seen scale by giving players free reign of an entire galaxy, complete with planets that will actually have life and various objectives to accomplish.

If you’re interested in Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, it’s not available yet, but should come out sometime in 2021. In the meantime, make sure you’re prepared by grabbing one of the best HOTAS joystick and throttle combinations you can get.
