Many months ago, Doom and Doom II launched on Xbox One many months ago, but they haven’t been smooth launches. The performance wasn’t that great and they looked a little strange. Luckily, the games are getting more options in an upcoming patch.

According to a report by Eurogamer, the game is getting free add-on content like Final Doom and Sigil, as well as a locked 60 frames per second (FPS) frame rate. You can read an excerpt from the report below.

The news comes via Bethesda’s Doom anniversary livestream… which began the Doom port info blow-out with word that an upcoming patch will introduce a locked 60 FPS and aspect ratio options. The really exciting stuff, though, comes in the form of free community-created WADS, which will appear in a curated add-ons menu soon.

Bethesda added that the update will also come to Android and iOS devices in addition to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. It’s great to see that Bethesda is supporting the games after launch. Hopefully, this will turn public opinion around.
