Doom 64 rerelease features new chapter

Doom Eternal is an upcoming first-person shooter that continues the story of the reboot. It looks absolutely spectacular on Xbox One X and should provide plenty of single-player and multiplayer enjoyment. In addition to Xbox One, Doom Eternal should be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. It was also announced for Google Stadia a few months ago.

Doom 64, the Nintendo 64 title, is going to be a preorder bonus. However, there’s more lore tacked on. An interview between various id Software developers and USGamer revealed new insights into the game and Doom 64 preorder bonus.

Senior Developer James Haley said the following.

On our end, persistent players will have the opportunity to unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy’s saga, taking place shortly after Doom 64’s original campaign concludes. The Mother Demon you defeated in that outing had a sister, and since you’ve been messing up Hell non-stop, she tries to get rid of you by sending you away. If you can make your way back and take revenge, you’ll be rewarded with a bit of lore that fans of both series, new and classic, should enjoy.
