It might seem like there’s plenty of time to shop during the two-day Prime Day event, but we’re now entering the twilight hours where prices are slowly returning to normal. We’ve had our eye on Samsung’s 32-inch Odyssey G5 gaming monitor for awhile, and anyone looking to upgrade their screen might also be interested. It’s enormous, it has a sharp QHD resolution, and it has the performance specs for a smooth gaming experience.
The regular price is already quite reasonable for what you’re getting, coming in at about $350. We’ve seen the price down to about $290 for last year’s Black Friday, but since then it’s been back up to around the normal price. For Prime Day, however, it’s back down to $295, which is 16% or $55 off. That’s a great deal, but it won’t last through the night.
The 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution means you will need some decent PC hardware to maximize potential — our collection of the best Prime Day laptop deals has a bunch of great gaming laptops — but everything is going to look crisp and clear. It’s even compatible with HDR10 content to make colors and contrast pop. And at 32 inches, it’s going to feel like you’re looking at nothing but game. Connect with HDMI or DisplayPort.
If you’ve been shopping around for a new gaming monitor and have yet to pull the trigger, this is a great deal that’s not going to be around much longer.
