Disco Elysium lands on Xbox in 2020

Recently, a game called is making waves across the gaming industry. Not only is it getting phenomenal reviews, but it’s also being praised by gamers. For those unfamiliar with the title, Disco Elysium an open-world role-playing game. You’re a detective with a unique skill system at your disposal and a whole city block to carve your path across. Interrogate unforgettable characters, crack murders, or take bribes. The choice is yours.

Disco Elysium is only available on PC at the moment, but that’s about to change in 2020. According to the developer, the game is coming to Xbox One next year. Escapist managed to sit down with Lead Designer Robert Kurvitz to discuss the game. During the interview, he said the following.

The immediate plan, and this is why I won’t go on a holiday anytime soon, is to get Disco Elysium to as many people as possible. We’re going to port it next year to PlayStation and Xbox. We need to be very hands-on with the design of that. We don’t want to hire a porting company. We think it really is going to lend itself very well to console play because you don’t need to go over minute tactics and use a mouse because it’s very narrative in its nature.

It’s great to see that this modern cult classic is coming to Xbox One — or possibly only Project Scarlett — soon. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know. This is definitely exciting news!
