Diablo creator’s ‘It Lurks Below’ hits Xbox Game Pass soon
David Brevik is a video game designer who was the co-founder and president of Blizzard North. You may recognize the name from the Diablo franchise. While Brevik isn’t with Blizzard Entertainment anymore, he’s working on smaller projects at indie studio Graybeard Games. Recently, the studio revealed It Lurks Below.
According to the developer, It Lurks Below is an action-oriented, survival role-playing game in a randomly generated world. Fight through a massive underground dungeon, customize your character with random items, and find out what evil lurks below. It’s been available on Steam for almost a year now, and has garnered positive reviews from gamers.
Recently, IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey promoted a message from Brevik about It Lurks Below coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. It’s unclear when the title is expected to launch in the service, but it may be in May given April’s titles have been revealed.

We’ve played It Lurks Below on PC and it’s a lot of fun. While it’s not like Diablo, you can see a lot of influences when it comes to the weapons and how to become stronger. Be sure to check it out when it’s available.
