Developer manages to get Google Play Store onto Windows 11

We’re one step closer to being able to run any Android app on Windows 11. A developer known as ADeltaX figured out how to install the Google Play Store onto Windows 11. The installation process is complex, but once completed, it allows Android apps that require the Google Play Store to work on Microsoft’s new operating system.

Currently, Android app support on Windows 11 is limited to apps available through the Amazon App Store. The functionality is in testing, and only 50 apps work during the preview. You can sideload apps onto Windows 11, but some of the most popular Android apps require the Google Play Store to function. ADeltaX’s work gets around this limitation by allowing people to install the Google Play Store onto Windows 11. As a result, Windows 11 is able to run any Android app.

A video from ADeltaX breaks down how to install the Google Play Store onto Windows 11. Following the steps in the video will take some time, but the process does work. After following the guide, a Windows 11 PC will be able to run any Android app. As this is an unofficial process, following the guide to install the Google Play Store onto Windows 11 should be done with caution.
