Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer launches, brings transmog and loot
Bungie has officially launched Season 14, which is Season of the Splicer, for Destiny 2 on all platforms. The season runs from May 11, 2021 to August 24, 2021, and it focuses on the Fallen House of Light and its leader Mithrax as they assist the Guardians to take down an emerging Vex threat. Over the course of the season, players will be able to play a new 6-player activity called Override as well as a weekly pinnacle loot mission called Expunge. The full roadmap for the season is below.
Are you excited for Season of the Splicer? Will you be playing Destiny 2 during this season? Let me know, and make sure to check the official Season of the Splicer page for more details. You’ll need $10 worth of Silver (Destiny 2’s in-game microtransaction currency) to buy Season of the Splicer’s season pass. This pass will give you access to the seasonal activities and much of the new loot, so if you play Destiny a lot, you should definitely pick it up. The latest expansion, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, is also available for $40. If you haven’t tried out Destiny 2 yet, I highly recommend doing so as it’s one of the best Xbox One shooters out there.
