Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris map and rewards for May 14-18

The competitive PvP mode Trials of Osiris is live in Destiny 2 from May 14 until May 18, and you can launch it from the Crucible section of the in-game Director menu. In Trials of Osiris two teams of three face off against one another over several rounds. The team that wipes the other side wins the round, and the team with the most rounds won wins the match. Lastly, whoever wins the match has a win added to their Trials tracking card. Getting three, five, and seven wins on your card will net you special pieces of Trials gear that you won’t be able to get anywhere else, and if you win seven games straight without losing at all, you’ll go flawless.

Going flawless allows you and your team to travel to the Lighthouse, which is where you will be given a piece of Adept Trials loot that has better stats compared to non-Adept variants (notably, perk rolls are still randomized). Getting three losses on your card resets it, however, so it’s important to play well if you want all of the rewards on offer. Saint-14 in The Tower also sells Trials of Osiris bounties that you can use to earn tokens while playing, which can then be redeemed for additional random pieces of gear.

The map that Trials matches take place on changes every week. This week, Trials takes place on the map Endless Vale, which features a long central sightline with lots of short and mid-range arenas on the left and right sides of the map. Your best bet here will be shotguns, hand cannons, and pulse rifles, although good snipers can lock down the middle of the map as well. Notably, fusion rifle users can counter shotgun users in some of the more open parts of the map.

The gear that you get from playing well in Trials of Osiris is typically some of the best in the entire game. This week, players can obtain the new Trials submachine gun Shayura’s Wrath, the powerful sniper Eye of Sol, a Trials of Osiris chest armor piece, and an Adept variant of the popular The Messenger pulse rifle.

  • 3 Wins: Shayura’s Wrath (Submachine Gun)
  • 5 Wins: Eye of Sol (Sniper Rifle)
  • 7 Wins: Chest (Armor)
  • Flawless: The Messenger (Adept) (Pulse Rifle)
