Destiny 2 ‘Empyrean Foundation’ event goes live

Spread the love

The Empyrean Foundation restoration event in Destiny 2 has gone live, and after players complete a short quest that involves doing a run of The Sundial activity and talking to Osiris, Saint-14 will ask them to donate Polarized Fractaline to the restoration effort via the Obelisk found in the Tower. The event is currently slated to last until the end of Season of Dawn, which is March 9.

Earning Polarized Fractaline can be done in a myriad of ways, including completing bounties from Saint-14 and the four Obelisks located around the in-game universe (not the Tower one), finding it in drops whhen completing matchmaking activities (requires upgrading Obelisks), completing Season of Dawn triumphs, and more. The Tower Obelisk will also generate large quantities of Fractaline on every weekly reset day depending on how much you’ve upgraded your Obelisks.

There’s a nice reward for folks who manage to donate 5,000 Fractaline during the event. Doing so gets you a new emblem (pictured above) as well as a triumph. On top of that, if the community is able to donate a certain amount as a whole (currently, this number is undetermined) every player in the game will get access to a special new shader to color their armor and weapons with.

Developer Bungie has told us that our efforts in this event will lead to something new in the future, so it’s time for everyone to do theiir part and donate some Fractaline. Get to it, Guardians.

Destiny 2 is free to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can get the latest expansion, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, for $35.
