Destiny 2 ‘Crimson Days’ event begins, lasts until February 18
Destiny 2’s Valentine’s Day-themed Crimson Days event has begun, and it runs until February 18. To participate in the event, players will need to complete special bounties (sold by Lord Shaxx in the Tower) by playing the new Crimson Doubles Crucible playlist. Players are encouraged to team up with someone they like (or maybe even like like…), but if they choose to go in solo, the matchmaker will find them a teammate. Crimson Doubles introduces some special gameplay mechanics; you and your partner recharge abilities faster if you stick together, but if you separate from one another too much the other team will be able to see your locations through walls.
On top of this, there are also a small number of new items in Eververse, Destiny 2’s microtransaction store. These cosmetics include a new ornament, a Ghost shell, and a new emote that allows you and another Guardian to put your arms together in the shape of a heart.
What do you think of the Crimson Days event? Are you looking forward to playing the new mode with a Valentine? I sure am.
Destiny 2 is free to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The latest expansion, Shadowkeep, is available for $35 on all platforms.
