Dead Cells ‘The Bad Seed’ expansion adds new biomes and bosses
Dead Cells is a rogue-lite, Metroidvania-like action-platformer. You’ll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. It’s rather hardcore as there are no checkpoints. The objective is to kill, die a lot, learn from your mistakes, and repeat until you’ve conquered everything.
The Bad Seed… introduces new path choices in the early game ensuring that all players, no matter their level, will be able to enjoy it. Players will discover two new biomes inhabited by their own distinctive bestiary; The Arboretum, a lush paradise to deceivingly adorable creatures, and The Swamp, where an overgrown arboreal settlement inhabited by ambushing blow gunners and spear wielders is your only escape from the gargantuan purple ticks that reign uncontested on the ground.
Free content, balancing, and systemic updates are planned at the same steady rhythm and of the same quality as seen in 2019.
Dead Cells is part of Xbox Game Pass so you can play it through your $10-a-month subscription. If you like playing multiplayer titles, then you should consider becoming an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member. It bundles Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold into one complete package. Rumors are that it’s also going to support Project xCloud sometime in 2020.
