Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 free upgrades delayed to 2022
According to CD Projekt Red’s latest investor report, the free current-generation upgrades for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are being delayed out of 2021. The upgrades are now slated for 2022, with the update for Cyberpunk 2077 coming first in Q1 2022, while the update to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated for Q2 2022.
CD Projekt Red previously indicated it wasn’t sure these upgrades would arrive in 2021. The enhanced release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also bringing extra DLC items brought about as a collaboration with the Witcher Netflix series.
Whenever exactly these free upgrades arrive, the updates are meant to bring an improved experience for players on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5.
While more patches, updates and bug fixes are still on the way for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has noted that it is “quite satisfied” with the overall level of performance in the game across all available platforms.
