  • CyberPowerPC’s new gaming laptops will be available at some point in early 2022.

CES 2022 is in full swing, and has brought with it a veritable horde of PC announcements and reveals. CyberPowerPC already impressed with its unique “breathing” PC case but has once again taken to the stage to announce a new series of gaming laptops arriving later this year. The Tracer VI Edge Pro Liquid Cool series combines a long name with the very best gaming hardware from NVIDIA and Intel, including a new 45W, 14-core 12th Gen i9, with a unique cooling solution.

These laptops’ claim to fame is an external reservoir that can be quickly connected or disconnected from the rear to provide active liquid cooling at any point. This combines with the internal liquid-cooled heat pipes to provide greater thermal performance than would otherwise be possible, hopefully squeezing even more power out of the capable hardware.

According to CyberPowerPC, typical gaming laptops can exceed 87C and produce as much as 48dBA of fan noise when under high load like gaming, but its innovative liquid cooling solution can reduce those numbers to 62 and 35, respectively. It remains to be seen just how effective the external liquid cooling is in practice, but it may be enticing for those who want desktop gaming performance without losing the ability to be mobile.

The hardware contained within is undeniably prepared for intense gaming sessions, but the active liquid cooling solution is certainly adding to the overall price tag. We’ll have to wait to see if CyberPowerPC’s latest offerings can earn a place among the best gaming laptops available.
