Control just has sold more than 2 million copies, did well in November
Control is the latest project from Remedy Entertainment and is a supernatural third-person shooter that takes after earlier Remedy games like Quantum Break and Alan Wake. The game has been out for 15 months now, but apparently that isn’t stopping the game from achieving new heights and breaking its own record.
According to Thomas Puha, Communications Director at Remedy Entertainment, Control had its most successful month yet in November. Sales likely spiked after the recent release of Control: Ultimate Edition, which bundles the base game, both of Control’s expansions like the AWE expansion, and a free next-gen upgrade for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5 set for release sometime in 2021. Control also recently released on the Nintendo Switch, opening the game up to another group of potential players.
Additionally, Control has passed over 2 million copies sold, an impressive number that will hopefully continue to rise.
Control recently joined Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Game Pass on consoles as well as Xbox Cloud Gaming (Project xCloud). If you haven’t given Control a try yet, that’s a fantastic way to jump into the base game before deciding if the more premium Ultimate Edition is worth the investment. Control is certainly a visual showcase, though, so make sure you’re set up with one of the Best 4K TVs for Xbox Series X|S.
