Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 3 starts getting May 2022 security update in the US

Last week, Samsung released the May 2022 security update to the unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 3 units in the US. Now, the update has been released to the carrier-locked units in the country. More markets would get the update within the next few days.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s carrier-locked model comes with firmware version F711USQS2CVD2. The update is currently rolling out on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US. Other carriers like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon will release the update within the next few days.

The May 2022 security patch includes fixes for dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update might also bring general bug fixes and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in the US with a carrier-locked model, you can download the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
