Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may require 175 GB on PC (update)
Updated October 10, 2019: In a new blog post, Activision clarified that the 175 GB requirement is the estimate the company recommends keeping open for the game and its forthcoming DLC. The base game will take up less than 175 GB. The original story follows.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is an upcoming first-person shooter from Activision. The game is a spiritual reboot of the acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but presents the same characters in a new setting. According to everyone who previewed the campaign, it’s a dark, uncomfortable, and realistic story.
According to a report by Charlie Intel, the game needs a somewhat beefy PC, but that’s not the most surprising part. According to Battle.net, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare needs 175 GB on PC. It’s unclear what the size on consoles will be, but expect something similar on Xbox One X.

- Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
- Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, or AMD Radeon HD 7950 that are DirectX 12 compatible
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Storage: 175 GB hard drive space
- Internet: Broadband connection
