The Diablo 2: Resurrected remaster is slated to arrive later this year and the developers have already begun addressing things player want to see improved. On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment shared some updates on upcoming changes thanks to feedback from the technical alpha.

One of the biggest changes is improving the visuals of the Sorceress class, whose magical lightning and ice attacks now stand out more with wider, whiter effects. Different UI elements are also being improved, with the colors made to stand out more for things like potions, which you can see below.

There’s also quality of life changes being made, such as the addition of a clock and the option to toggle item names. Characters will also no longer load into a hostile area while the rest of the game is still loading, to ensure the player character isn’t damaged during a loading screen. This technical alpha isn’t the end of the testing phase either, as a beta is coming sometime in August, with anyone who has preordered the game being invited.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is scheduled for a September 23 release date and it’s coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game will also support cross-progression on at least some platforms.

The next big Diablo game, Diablo 4, does not currently have a release date, though we know it won’t be available this year.

It’s finally here
