Every week, numerous games launch on Xbox One, but which ones truly stand out? Here are some of the biggest and most anticipated titles launching across Microsoft’s platforms next week. We have a few new AAA releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Borderlands 3 is finally launching on the console, and Gears 5: Standard Edition offers an interesting take on the third-person shooter genre. With that in mind, here are all the best games launching next week, between September 9 and 13.

Borderlands 3 is an upcoming open-world shooter that takes place in a crazy universe. You have to go from planet to planet, exploring alien vaults, and taking on new foes known as the Calypso Twins.

Borderlands 3 should launch on September 13, starting at $60. The game features a 4K resolution mode and 60 frames per second (FPS) option. The 4K mode is locked to 30 FPS, while the 60 FPS mode reduces the resolution to 1080p.

Gears 5: Standard Edition

Gears 5 is an upcoming third-person shooter from Microsoft’s The Coalition team. The studio has worked on Gears of War 4 in the past, and it wants to make the sequel an even bigger adventure. The title is also more advanced on a technical front. According to Gears 5’s Multiplayer Design Director, the franchise will feature 60 Hz servers for the first time.

Gears 5: Standard Edition should launch on September 10, priced at $60. The game is also included with Xbox Game Pass. Lastly, the Gears 5 runs at 4K resolution and 60 FPS on Xbox One X.
