Base Galaxy S23 and Plus variants have secured approvals from China
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have joined the Galaxy S23 Ultra on the way to 3C. Some of you might recall that the Ultra model was the first to get approval from China’s regulatory agency last week. Now, the base and Plus models are following in the Ultra variant’s footsteps.
The entire Galaxy S23 lineup is now greenlit by 3C. The base model appeared at the regulatory agency carrying model number SM-S9110. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S23+ carries model number SM-S9160. Both phones were tested using the same EP-TA800 wall charger that provides up to 25W super-fast charging, but this is not necessarily indicative of the Galaxy S23 and S23+’s charging speeds. Spec-wise, 3C doesn’t reveal much else about the upcoming flagship phones, but recent rumors say that the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will have the same hardware specifications as the 2022 models, except they’ll feature a newer chipset. They’re also said to have roughly the same design as this year’s flagships.
Regardless of how the 2023 flagship series ends up, Samsung is apparently pushing for a January-February 2023 release. This puts the Galaxy S23 lineup four-to-five months away, which should be plenty of time for more leaks and rumors to emerge.
