Yesterday Asus unveiled its latest flagship Zenfones with the small but powerful Zenfone 8 and the more traditional (for Asus) Zenfone 8 Flip. And as goes the tradition Asus has uploaded several promo videos detailing the two new devices.
The Zenfone 8 Flip introductory video highlights the phone’s key specs which include the flip up camera, Snapdragon 888 chipset and its 5,000 mAh battery. The attention is then placed back on the unique camera setup with its motorized mechanism allowing for precise angle control and one of a kind panorama shots.
Zenfone 8 is small in size but big on performance. It shares the same Snapdragon 888 chipset as its bigger brother and pairs a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W charging. Its biggest advantage is one-handed usability. The 5.9-inch AMOLED display packs a 120Hz refresh rate and should fit into your pockets and just allow you to go about your day with ease. The added IP 68 water and dust resistance means you should not be afraid of liquids getting in the way.
Asus also has one more promo clip for its new compact flagship. The “compact performer” as Asus calls it packs the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 paired with 5G and Wi-Fi 6E for blazing-fast connectivity. While the display is smaller than what you’d find on other high-end phones it still brings an impressive 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1100 nits peak brightness.
P.S. We have our very own Zenfone 8 review which you can check out here for detailed benchmark testing, camera samples complete with our personal verdict.
