ASUS launches the ExpertBook B9, a durable business laptop
ASUS launched the Expertbook B9 laptop today. It’s the world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop, according to ASUS. The laptop weighs just 2.2 lbs (1 kg), but has enough power to handle heavier workloads. Inside, it runs on an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor and Intel Xe graphics. The ExpertBook B9 is available today starting at $1,700. You can order the new laptop from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, and ASUS, though at the time of publication only some of those sites have live links for the device.
Despite its thin-and-light form factor, the ExpertBook B9 has several ports for connectivity, including two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and an HDMI port. Its Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port can handle data transfer speeds up to 40Gbps. It can also power dual 4K display setups.
The ExpertBook B9 meets MIL-STD 810H US military standards for durability. It also passes drop tests, vibration tests, extreme temperature tests, and humidity tests. ASUS also had its engineers insert and remove connectors into its ports 5,000 times to ensure durability.
The display of the ExpertBook B9 is 14-inches and has thin bezels as part of its NanoEdge display. The keyboard of the laptop features the ASUS NumberPad 2.0 that allows you to swap the touchpad into a touchpad on demand.
