ASUS’ dual-screen ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581) now available starting at $2,500

ASUS’ new ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581), which packs a huge second screen above the keyboard, is now on sale starting at $2,500. Built for heavy multitasking, the second screen, dubebd the ScreenPad Plus, complements the main 15.6-inch OLED display, and both are backed up by some powerful hardware.

The second screen is half the height of the main display, but it stretches across the full width of the ZenBook Pro Duo’s body. It can be used either as a full second display by dragging apps to it, or as a dedicated dock for things like video previews, timeline controls, code windows, or audio mixing panels. It also makes a good surface for drawing with the included stylus.

Backing up those screens are 9th Gen Intel Core processors, with your choice of a Core i9-9980HK or Core i7-9750H. You can equip the laptop with up to 32GB of RAM, a 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD for storage. There’s also support for Wi-Fi 6 and a dedicated “Turbo Fan” button to get a cooling boost when needed.

The ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581) is available now in two configurations. You can pick it up with a Core i9 processor and 32GB of RAM for $3,000 or with a Core i7 CPU and 16GB of RAM for $2,500.
