A new rumor has emerged that the Apple Watch Series 6 could launch as early as 8 September.
We’ve been assuming that the new Series 6 would follow Apple’s tradition of unveiling its smatwatch in September, but in this topsy-turvy world, that was no longer a given.
But tech-tipster iHacktu Pro has revealed that the Apple event will take place on 8 April – and it might not just be Series 6 showing up.
The tipster has also alleged that Apple Glass and some form of AirPower could also be shown off.
But iHacktu Pro insists that Apple Glass will only be shown off if the event happens in person, not digital only.
Of course, this is just conjecture – and there’s no way of knowing if the tip is genuine.

TechRadar points out that the tipster has a decent track record of predictions – but they also don’t have a huge following on Twitter, having joined in 2019.
To call out an early September Apple Watch launch doesn’t seem like much of a gamble – every Apple Watch has been outed in September, even though we were made to wait until April for the original.
But to predict AirPower and Apple Glass is a big statement.
But it’s not totally baseless. Prominent Apple observer Jon Prosser has confirmed that Apple Glass is headed for a 2020 release, even if it won’t be available to buy until 2021.
Given the AR wearables market just hasn’t kicked off in any meaningful way and with zero consumer expectations, we’d still be surprised to see Apple take the plunge at this stage.
We won’t have long to wait and see.
