Apple to focus on iPhone 11 production at the expense of 11 Pro duo

Building on the success of last year’s iPhone XR, the iPhone 11 seems to be received exceptionally well around the globe. According to the latest report from Rosenblatt Securities analyst Jun Zhang, the iPhone 11 has already passed 12 million sales in just over a month since its launch. These numbers are quite impressive and according to the report, Apple is prepared to further increase iPhone 11 production by an estimated 1.6 million units.

On the other hand, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are not doing so well and are selling 15% worse than last year’s XS duo. Due to these slumping sales, Zhang predicts Apple will tone down iPhone 11 Pro series production by around 2 million units.

As a whole, the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro are expected to reach 70 million shipments before the end of the year with most of the growth attributed to the more affordable model.
