Apple announces two new Pride Edition bands

Apple today is introducing two new Pride Edition bands for the Apple Watch. The company also revealed a matching dynamic 2021 Pride watch face.

The first is a new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, which has the familiar Solo Loop design introduced last year but uses a different color for each of the overlapping weaves. It features the original rainbow colors, as well as black and brown to symbolize Black and Latinx communities, as well as those who live or lived with HIV/AIDS. Meanwhile, light blue, pink, and white represent the transgender and nonbinary individuals.

The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop will be available in 12 different lengths so you can find one that matches your wrists.

To go with this new band, Apple has also introduced a matching new dynamic 2021 Pride watch face. It has the same colors as the band but the patterns animates every time you raise your wrist or turn the Digital Crown. An App Clip will be available with the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop so that customers can scan it and instantly download the new watch face.

The second new band is the Pride Edition Nike Loop. This features the six rainbow colors within a reflective yarn. The reflective yarn is designed to illuminate under light and alert vehicles about the presence of the wearer from a distance.
