Anime-like ‘Code Vein’ launches on Xbox One and PC

During the Inside Xbox show at E3 2019, it was revealed that Bandai Namco’s Code Vein should launch this September. Oddly enough, it was supposed to release in September 2018, before it was pushed back a year. The game is a Bloodborne-like experience which features an anime aesthetic. Well, if you’ve been patiently waiting for the game, you’ll be happy to know that it’s finally available on Xbox One and PC.

We’ve been playing the game since yesterday and have to say that it’s quite a lot of fun. Code Vein allows you to endlessly customize your character in terms of looks and playstyle. Curiously enough though, Bandai Namco claims that the game is Xbox One X Enhanced, but we can’t seem to figure out what the added benefits are.

Unlike Dark Souls, there seems to be a focus on playing together. You frequently come across other people who join your team. This is a refreshing change because even boss fights don’t feel so daunting when you’re playing with friends.
