Android 10 beta release for S10 series detailed, but it’s getting delayed
Two days ago we learned that Samsung is planning to release a OneUI 2.0 beta based on Android 10 for the Galaxy S10 series as early as today. South Korean users will still be first in line for the update but the launch date has been pushed back to mid-October according to a post from a Samsung representative in the official community forum. This likely means that the international rollout will also be pushed back.
In addition, the representative gave out more details on the participation criteria which will include a total of 10,000 beta testers. 5,000 spots are reserved for SK Telecom users, another 2,000 will go to KT Telecom subscribers and 2,000 more will be available for LG Uplus users. The remaining 1,000 spots will be reserved for unlocked S10 units.
The second phase of the OneUI 2.0 beta testing will start from October 21 to November 14. While there’s no confirmation as to which devices will be part of this release, rumors suggest the Note10 line should headline the list. As with past Samsung beta releases users will need to register through the Samsung Members app and register for beta testing.
