AndaSeat’s Jungle gaming chair is perfect for smaller gamers

Andaseat Jungle ReclinedSource: Windows Central

AndaSeat makes some of the best gaming chairs, and I’ve been using their Dark Demon for almost six months, and I love the firm padding and back support it supplies so much that I’ve found it hard to go back to sitting in a regular office chair. Despite that comfort, I found myself swimming in a seat designed to support people who are taller than 6 feet and weigh up to 350 pounds. So I swapped to the Jungle which fits better under my desk and lines up more with my 5-foot-2 frame.

Having something more suited to my size allows me to better take advantage of the chair’s features. It’s also a bit more affordable than the Dark Demon, meaning it’s worth considering for anyone who isn’t looking for a heavy-duty chair but still wants the comfort a gaming chair can provide.

The company also offers the opportunity to pay for the chair in four interest-free payments via Klarna.

The AndaSeat Jungle is a smaller, more streamlined version of the Dark Demon but offers almost all of the same features. That makes the Jungle an ideal option if you’re smaller, more cost-conscious, or are working in a tighter space. That size difference makes it easier to take advantage of the headrest and adjustable lumbar pillow, which I found were too high for my body on the Dark Demon.

As someone with a pair of cats, I’m really happy about the durable PVC leather. One of my felines likes to try to climb to the top of the chair to watch me work, but he hasn’t made a mark with his claws. The material is also easy to clean when you get shed fur or crumbs on your seat.

The black version in particular has a clean, professional look that won’t embarrass you in a conference call with non-gamers.

The race car design provides great ergonomic support for your back, making it comfortable even if you’re spending all day at your desk gaming or working. The wheels pivot neatly, making it easy to roll out of the desk or move around when I’m grabbing my phone or a drink. The black version in particular has a clean, professional look that won’t embarrass you in a conference call with non-gamers.

If you prefer to sit straight up and maintain your focus while working but want to lean further back when you’re playing with a controller, the Jungle makes it easy by tilting between 90 and 160 degrees. It’s very stable so I never felt off-balance while reclining. The chair also comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame, which provides some extra peace of mind.

The primary feature the Jungle lacks over the Dark Demon is 4D armrests. You can still adjust their elevation, but you can’t tweak their width to your preference. That’s not a big deal for me and I don’t think that feature alone justifies a higher price tag.

While the headrest worked much better for me on the Jungle than it did on the Dark Demon, I still don’t love the lumbar support pillow. The straps that hold it in place are hard to adjust and hook in, making it too much of a hassle to alternate based on how I’m feeling. It also tends to ride up over time. The Jungle’s small frame is a plus for me, but certainly would be a dealbreaker for larger people.

If you’re looking for a more affordable gaming chair that also fits a smaller build, the OFM Essentials Collection racing-style gaming chair is your best bet. It comes in the same color schemes as the Jungle plus several other varieties including pink and green if you want to add some personality to your setup. However it lacks the extra headrest and lumbar pillows, and the material is prone to chipping over time.

If price isn’t a concern, you can opt for the Razer Iskur. It’s bigger, supporting up to 299 pounds and 6-foot-2 players, and has excellent built-in lumbar support that you can adjust with a lever rather than fooling around with a lumbar pillow.

AndaSeat Jungle gaming chair: Should you buy it?

You should buy this if …

  • You’re a smaller gamer looking for a chair that fits your body well
  • You want a chair that looks professional while providing excellent comfort
  • You want materials that will last even against the pressure from pets

You shouldn’t buy this if …

  • You need a chair designed with bigger gamers in mind
  • You’re looking for extra features like 4D armrests or a footrest
  • You’re on a tight budget

The AndaSeat Jungle is a really solid mid-range gaming chair in terms of price, features, and size. If you want a chair that’s comfortable and built to last but don’t have a huge desk or budget, this is a perfect fit. If you’re willing to splurge on extra perks, need a true budget buy, or prefer a heavy-duty chair, you’re going to want to consider other options.

I’m extremely satisfied with the Jungle, which keeps my back feeling good after long days of work and marathon gaming sessions. It’s easy to feel the difference its strong support provides even when you’re just sitting in it for a few minutes, and it looks professional enough that even my parents were considering buying one after they came to visit and took the Jungle for a spin.

I’ve since given my Dark Demon to my husband, who’s 6-foot-2 and thus better suited for its build. Now I don’t feel like I’m swimming in my chair and can enjoy leaning back a bit and letting my neck rest on the pillow. If you’ve never bought a gaming chair, the Jungle’s price tag can seem high. But compared to other models on the market, you’re going to get a lot of bang for your buck and a product you know will last.
