At the helm sits “a powerful octa-core processor” from MediaTek (MTK8188J), aided by 4GB of RAM. A fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button. You can get 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage, and up to 14 hours of battery life out of a cell of unknown capacity. The charger that ships in the box is 9W, which takes over 4 hours to fully charge the device. There’s a 15W adapter you can buy separately which reduces that to 3 and a half hours.

There’s a pair of 8 MP cameras, one on the front, one on the back, and support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Dual Dolby Atmos speakers are in too. The Fire Max 11 is now up for pre-order starting at $229, and it will ship next month, as will the accessories: a keyboard case attached via pogo pins, and a stylus. If you want the complete bundle, you’ll have to fork out $329.99.

These prices are for the version with lock screen ads. If you don’t want to see those, then the tablet costs $244.99, and the full bundle goes for $344.99. Whichever version you buy, you’re getting a three-month trial of Microsoft 365 Personal (afterwards $6.99 per month), which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 1TB of cloud storage, cross device continuity, and data protection.
