Amazon Games’ MMORPG New World is now launching in September
Amazon Games’ MMORPG New World is delayed to September 28, following feedback received during the recent closed beta for the game. The developers state that this delay will be used to ensure New World is as polished as possible, reducing the number of bugs players might encounter and improving general stability.
Players found a lot to praise during the beta, alongside some technical issues like a brutal crashing problem affecting anyone using an RTX 3090. In our preview of the New World closed beta, we found it to have real potentional, alongside smaller issues that need to be fixed or things that could be improved to give players a better overall experience.
New World has been delayed numerous times in the past, with an original release date of May 2020 before the pandemic affected development, pushing the game back to August 2020, then to a Spring 2021 release window and then to August 31. Players have been waiting for a while, so they’ll need to hang on for just a few extra weeks while the developers are processing feedback from the beta.
